At the heart of every Special Assignment is a simple belief: no one should have to walk through life's most difficult moments alone.
Through The Elf Council Cares, the Elf Council quietly provides Special Assignments to individuals and families who could use a little extra comfort, encouragement, or hope. Every Special Assignment is thoughtfully prepared and may include a Companion Elf, a Festive Friend Elves storybook, a handwritten letter from the Elf Council, or other carefully chosen gifts.
Some Special Assignments are for children. Others are for caregivers, parents, grandparents, seniors, or entire families. Every story is different, but each assignment is created with the same purpose—to remind someone they are seen, valued, deeply loved, and never alone.
Whether through a quiet act of kindness, a thoughtful gift, or simply the reminder that someone cares, the Elf Council hopes to bring a little more light into the world... one Special Assignment at a time.

The Elf Council carefully reads every nomination and thoughtfully considers each Special Assignment. While we wish we could fulfill every request, Special Assignments depend on available resources and are not guaranteed.
People often nominated include:

Every Special Assignment is thoughtfully prepared based on the needs of the individual or family receiving it.
While no two assignments are exactly alike, an average Special Assignment costs approximately $60 and may include:

🚗 Local delivery or shipping assistance, when possible
