Helping children feel brave through hospitals, doctor visits, therapy, procedures, and healing days.
Brave Hearts is a Festive Friend Elves Core Mission created for children and families facing medical moments — big or small.
Some children visit doctors often.
Some spend time in hospitals.
Some go to therapy, dental appointments, procedures, tests, or recovery days.
Some simply feel nervous when their body needs extra care.
Brave Hearts exists to remind them:
You are not alone.
You are already brave.
And your story matters.
What Brave Hearts Elves Do
Brave Hearts Elves are special Festive Friend Elves who help bring comfort, courage, and imagination into medical experiences.
They may support children through:
Doctor visits
Hospital stays
Dental appointments
Therapy sessions
Medical procedures
Tests and scans
Recovery days
Big feelings about health or healing
They do not take away the hard parts.
But they can help a child feel seen, comforted, encouraged, and loved through them.
Brave Does Not Mean Unafraid
At the Elf Council, we believe bravery is not about never feeling scared.
Bravery can look like asking questions.
Holding someone’s hand.
Bringing a comfort item.
Taking one small step.
Resting when your body is tired.
Crying and trying again.
Brave Hearts helps children understand that needing extra care does not make them less whole, less strong, or less loved.
